On June 24, 2026, Ionis Pharmaceuticals announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved TRYNGOLZA (Olezarsen) to lower triglycerides and reduce the risk of acute pancreatitis in adults with severe hypertriglyceridemia.
This treatment was previously approved for Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS), a rare genetic form of severe hypertriglyceridemia. This approval expands its use to adults with severe hypertriglyceridemia.
